Spring finds me back to figure drawing. A new venue was recommended and we had a lovely young model. She was a professional in every way.
I realized after blocking out a full figure pose that I loved the shape of her mouth. Perhaps next time will be a portrait.

Very nice drawing! But how long did it take you to finish it?
Jose, if my memory is correct I probably had about 2.5 hrs in the studio with the model and perhaps an additional 30 min cleaning it up at home. It isn't a large drawing.

Wow, I thought you spend more time on it. I could never draw a human being. I try to draw a model, but it took me forever and I could not get the facial characteristics right. I guess I should stick with painting landscapes.
