Introductions at the Randy Higbee Gallery

Introductions  9x12" oil on linen panel

I had the opportunity yesterday to go to Randy Higbee's Open Studio. There were approximately 20 painters from around SoCA. Randy had arranged for two models, one nude and one clothed. He also had placed a still life arrangement against one of his moveable walls. As I am not quite comfortable painting figures quickly, I signed up to paint the still life. I had a lovely time meeting artists I have "friended" on Facebook, and being a part of Randy's gracious open studio.

I titled this painting Introductions, because it reminds me of how lovely it can be, to meet new people, in an unfamiliar environment.

This is lovely and I like the name, too. It is always fun to meet internet buddies. Maybe one day.......

Thank you Jo. Yes it is fun how the internet has allowed us to reach out in ways that we never thought possible.
I hope you are well, and feeling the creative spirit.
