I have been reading everyone's accomplishments that are being posted, and am grateful to be a part of a community that is so committed to keeping the arts alive. What an interesting time we live in.
I am not interested in posting my numbers here, but I have made note of what I personally have accomplished. My most important accomplishment is the improved health of my daughter. My artwork has been directly affected by those that surround me. My daughter's special needs these past 2.5 years has brought a deeper meaning to much of the work that I have chosen to create. As I watch her heal, I have a greater appreciation for the fragility of life. It will be interesting to see how that shows through in my work during the coming year.
In addition my son will be leaving on February 17th for the Marines. Once again I will have my heart and mind focused in many directions. I hope these emotions will be expressed as well in my artwork.
I have plans written in my workbook to remind me of the direction that I want to move toward.
In addition I have also signed up with Alyson Stanfield to learn practical business tools to take my work to the next level.
Michael Newberry continues to be my mentor, and I am so very excited that he has arranged to move to the west coast. We will be about 30 min away from each other. I plan on using this as incentive to move my art higher still.
I wish you all a wonderful New Year. May you each find the tools necessary to reach as far as you can this year.
The gift of time is not ours alone. It is given equally to each person. Rich and poor, educated and ignorant, strong and weak—every man, woman and child has the same twenty-four hours every day.

It is wonderful that your daughter is on the mend. It looks like you really enjoyed your trip, thanks for posting about it!
I wish you the best for the year. You have some great plans in the works. I'm sending you best wishes to go with that.
Your wishes will be kept with great care. I appreciate them.
Happy new year to you and your family Robin ! Yes, art is alive and it keeps us alive as well..
It's wonderful that your daughter is improving, so good to hear. I hope 2009 continues positively for you and your family Robin!
Robin I wish you blessings and good health for 2009 to you and your family. With all that you have been through i am so impressed and inspired by the art you create. Your commitment to your family and art is inspiring.
Wishing you good health, happiness and a creative 2009!
Robin, so wonderful to hear your daughter is improving. I know it has been a long, hard road. And best of luck to your son in the Marines. It does seem you will have much on your mind in the coming year.
I will be anxious to hear how Alyson's class is. I have thought many times about signing up for her classes so I'd love some insider perspective! And thanks for the mention of Michael's impending move too! It seems I have been out of touch with him too long since I didn't know about it. (I need that red embarrassed smilie here.)
Happy 2009! I hope you have a wonderful, productive and successful new year!!
Martin - How are you? Love the work you are doing. Sure wish I could leave a comment. Had fun exploring your Rome site today.
Felicity - Thank you. Unfortunately with this disorder it can ebb and flow. Just all the more reason to learn to stay healthy from the inside out.
I have such great HOPE for 2009, yet I have learned to keep the enthusiasm contained, as I have been knocked off of my feet many times.
Happy New Year to you and your family.
Toni - I will receive those blessings with heartfelt gratitude.
Your words mean quite a lot. I put one foot in front of the other, and forget sometimes where it began.
All the best to you. I will be exploring your soups again as I think that is one of the ways to stay healthy.
Stacy - HAPPY NEW YEARS!
I did Alyson's Get Organized class and it was a very interesting way to work. Worth every penny. Good notes allowed me to work at it a bit more after the session was over.
I am so excited to have Michael nearby.
I wish you and your family all the best.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Likewise
Robin, I have great admiration for your constant research, caring of Rebecca's problem, and her needs. I wish you all the more success for this year in that field and also with your magnificent art.
Great big hugs back to you Mary.
Thanks for being there for me.... all the way.
