I am continuing to work around this drawing, to create depth in the shadow, while keeping the composition pleasing. I have a few shadow drawings in the process, so when I get tired of looking at one, I can move to another.
I do want to hustle with these since I have a few reasons to have them completed.
Back to the drawing board.

This is very cool. It seems to be getting complicated, but has some great patterns and negative shapes.
Looking good Robin! Right now the fence post is pulling my eye, so I'll be watching how you handle that. And you have me wondering about your plans for the series. I hope you clue us in when the time is right. :) You sure have been keeping busy lately!
These shadow pieces are wonderful Robin. There's nothing like a little motivation to spur you on to produce.
So do I smell a gallery in your future or a one woman show...)?
These three new ones you are working on I hadn't seen and as always it is a great pleasure to see your process. Wonderful work, Robin!
Jo - yes this does appear more complicated than the first ones I did. This is the first where I am working on a full sheet of paper.
I do see that I need to push back the overhead structure, so that the shadow of the rose can begin to stand out. It is a process.
Stacy - yes I agree the trellis over the bench is drawing too much attention.
I will write what my thoughts are for the series. I am mulling them over in my head. Might as well put them out there to the universe.
Jeanette - thank you. Yes they are motivating me. They do carry a life of their own at times. I have yet to tire of them.
Mary - I appreciate your consistent support. I think showing the process also is a good indicator for me to see how much I have accomplished. That is difficult at times when you are working so close to a subject, you don't always know that you are much further along than you thought.
