Jury Duty

...are sketchbooks allowed?

They have artists to make pictures to show on the news, so why not? I hope it's interesting; I've never been picked for jury duty...do you think someone is trying to tell me something?!

Dave - are you registered to vote? I am thinking that is how they get their pool. I had never done it before either, looks like I will have to wait another year to see what it is really like.

Yes, that's how it's done in England too, and I am registered to vote. But they still don't seem to want me!

By all means take you sketchbook. There will be a lot of waiting around time.

When I was on jury duty I took my little accordian pan watercolor box and painted while waiting. In the courtroom you are expected to pay attention though if you've been seated on the jury.

It is a great experience.

Yes I was looking forward to the experience. However it was settled so back home I went.

Dave - they want you... they are just saving you for something really good. I have been excused for so many years due to children. Now that they are older I am glad to be able to serve.
