Spring Light

Life has been a challenge lately, so I really was looking forward to a day painting. Couldn't have asked for nicer weather, though I do say this almost every day lately. Ok so I did begin to back out of the driveway without my Gorilla box, but heard it fall over.... BEFORE, I ran over it. I wasn't the last to arrive, which is a good thing. Stuggled with the tripod a bit, but I kept the cursing to am minimum. Then when I was toning my panel, I was getting unexpected colors or sludge from the turp can.... yuck.
I thought... NO, I will not let this turn into a bad day. So I stopped, put everything down, turned away, took a deep breath, and asked for strength.
I think I received it.
I like the result of my time at the Cobb Estate. Lori called the spot today, and she picked a winner. The colors were gorgeous. I made a good attempt to stay true to the light.

I may have to retake this photo, as the paint is still wet, and I think I am getting far too much reflection off of the panel.

Robin, I'm so glad you stuck with it! This is a very inspiring piece. I love your choice of colours, too. Are you telling me that Spring isn't long in coming??
Beautiful painting!

I could show you spring in Newfoundland Robin, but all you would see is an expanse of white, tinged with undertones of brown as the snow melts. :o)

Your painting is lovely, the colours so spring like. Seems like your day turned around indeed.

This is such a nice painting, Robin. The patches of sunlight hitting the foliage throughout the scene really brings a beautiful day to mind.
Lovely work.

Billie - yes we do tend to skip over spring here Billie. But I do like these months when it is still cool and yet there is life everywhere

Bonny - I do believe it is just around the corner.

Jeanette - I would certainly ship some off to you if I knew how.
Yes indeed it did turn around, and I am going to prove that I can keep putting one foot in front of the other.

Ronell - Thank you. I am so glad that I had yesterday, because today turned back the other way and I woke to fog. Even that has its beauty though.
