This is the result of a day out with the California Arts Club. The first being by an area called The Casting Pond, where fishermen practice their fly fishing abilities. The second along a much loved path that runs the length of the Arroyo, with a view of the historic Pasadena Bridge.
The cherry on top, was Peter Adams, the clubs president, was giving away frames. He unloaded the back of his van, and was thrilled to have us cart them away. Now how nice was that.

These are gorgeous, Robin. My favorite is the second one, but they're both great. I love the palette you've used here - it gives a lot of atmosphere.
Robin, you've been busy! love this last painting!
Very atmospheric I love it!
Two paintings and free frames! What more could be asked for?
Your paintings are lovely as always. I too love the Pasadena Bridge most of all, but the colours in the trees surrounding the Casting Pond make it look cool and calm.
Casey - I appreciate your comments. Second one was very fun to paint.
Billie - and I feel like I have been slacking. Nice that they work when you do find the time.
Terri - Nice to see you. This is a typical winter day in CA.
Jeanette - yup can you believe it? Love those kinds of days.
Hi Robin, two fine paintings. I like the color harmony and the way you simplified the shapes.
Cheers..Nue!
Hi Robin,
both paintings are great. The second one wins for me too in this comparison.
Stefan - appreciate your comments. Thanks for stopping in.
m.s. - no comparison, just painted on the same day. Something about an open view though that makes you want to wander in.
Robin, there is something about your Plein Air work that makes them very unique and beautiful. These are very good!
Thank you Mary. We need to get you out now. Would love to see your world and how you experience it.

I think you can be a member of the CAC where ever you live, though I don't think you would get the full benefit of what they can offer.
If you are interested in a Wm Wray workshop I can certainly let him know to put you on his mailing list.
Thanks for such a ramble through my work today. It is nice to know that it isn't lost in cyberspace, after it leaves the front page.
