Rockin'

I did a quick study today as a warm up. This is for the Wet Canvas class with Diane Wright. I am quite taken by rocks, and should actually paint them more. Couldn't pass this one by.
Charcoal on my little Strathmore sketchpad.

Beautiful rocks -- i remember what Karen Winters mentioned once about the danger of making rocks look soft -- and these have an excellent texture.

This is just wonderful. You should know by now how much I enjoy your charcoal/pencil work. Who would have imagined that rocks could be so lovely. Such a warm depiction. Hope that you've been well! -hugs

France - thank you, yes rocks have a unique texture, but what fun to create with paper.

Wendee - I have always had a fascination with rocks. Fun that I learned how to draw them.
One day at a time - but the good days outnumber the bad.
Hope life is going your way as well.
