The day I drew this I did not have a kneaded eraser, and so I found it difficult to work the delicate areas. I decided to put it aside until I arrived home. There is a quality about this piece that has made me decide not to fuss with it any further. I find that our City of Angels appears to have a Greek or Roman appearance. Almost as if there are ruins off in the distance.

I really like how loose and ghostly this is. It's full of energy.
A bit like the Acropolis don't you think?
Something inside was saying hold off adding anymore to it until you are sure what it is you are attempting to say.
Robin, have you ever been to Highgate Cemetery in London? This image reminds me so much of it. Slightly overgrown, somewhat mysterious, interesting architecture.
I enjoy your blog. A fun place filled with some nice sketches. I really got a kick out of your airport sketches. You have spirit.
Hi Jeanette - I might have seen Highgate, but can't picture it. I was in one in Hertforshire. It is always fun to be transported to another time and place.
C. Ousley - thank you for stopping by. I am glad that you see my passion. Airports are a fav place to draw.
Don't get to used to drawing in airports. They may ban pencils and pens. And paper! Paper cuts ya know... Thanks for paying me a visit. I will up a SprawlMart sketch in a few minutes...
