Muffin

6"x8" oil on panel

Out in Eaton Canyon again and the mish-mash of brush did not grab me, at all. So I decided to hold off eating my zucchini-walnut muffin, and paint it instead. It sat on the Starbuck's bag, which had a great green stripe along the edge.
I attempted Michael's direction of finding the color in the shadow, and I toned the panel with that blue-violet. It was a fun way to paint.
I have not cropped this image, because I painted it in my new Guerilla Paintbox. I bought the larger size so that I can paint as big as 12 x 16". I love it!

Robin, the colours are wonderful in this. It instantly brings me to a sunny day and a warming muffin.

Mary - I had a lot of fun pushing the color on this little painting.

Toni - It was. I am sorry I didn't plant zucchini this year.

Jeanette - the day began very hazy, in fact a low fog in the early morning. It is so difficult to paint any kind of landscape that is changing so rapidly. The muffin made a nice diversion. It had its own landscape.
