Robin, your work is gorgeous. I like the way you've composed this one.
Ah, I do love the mystery in your black and white drawings, Robin. Sumptuous textures and tones!
Ujwala - This is only after two sittings. I hope to get much more accomplished this weekend. TY for stopping by.
Laura - So you can see all the way to the mystery of this? Fascinating. How does the unconcious create this? I do have my list to accomplish on this.
Beautiful drawing Robin. The contrast between the hard glass and the soft pillow is wonderful.
Thank you Jeanette. Now I am going to go for the light. Wish me luck
Wonderful contrast. How do you like working on BFK Rives? I love it for watercolor and some lettering but find it difficult to erase the paper. doesn't seem to take well with erasers.
Toni - Hi! thanks so much. I am not sure I would try this paper for watercolor, but then I am one that likes to stretch my paper, and this wouldn't hold up to that. I am using charcoal here, so the lifting is rather impressive. I have hammered away at the light areas, and can lift and move an area rather easily. There are different weights so perhaps that can make a difference in how it responds.
There is such a mysterious soft but intense touch to this that shows the interior beauty of the artist.
