LINE, FORM, AND SPACE - you can't have one without the other
1. Rethink title... what is big?
2. Define the leaves as the darkest darks
3. Pull ribbon into the midtones and refine certain areas
4. Yank the table cloth towards the viewer
5. Ellipses!
6. Push curtain back a mile
7. Use "trickery" on the vase
8. "Nuke" the highlights out of the pillow.
9. Squint more

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. This is my first time visiting your blog, but definitely not my last. The range of your styles is breathtaking.
Wow Robin, is that more homework! It looks incredible!
thank you Suzanne (make note that is my middle name)... your kind words are gratefully accepted. I hope that you return, as I hope to continue to grow and share what I am learning.
Yes WOW is right Mary. I did expect it though. Why would I be doing this if I didn't want to get better. I need to push and pull this much more. I am trying to build up to this challenge.
Loookiin' goooood!
:-D Wonderful darks there under the edge of the pillow -- beautiful work on the leaves -- the whole piece is a treat!
Robin, I am always inspired when I come to your blog.
This is no exception. I'm behide the times here> Are you taking a class?
I start mine tonight.
Linda - I am going to pull out some more darks. I hope that I can keep the details. Thanks for stopping by.
Toni - thank you for those kind words.
I am doing a mentor program with Michael Newberry. He is so talented, and after taking a workshop one Sunday when I was back east this summer, I knew I could learn so much from him. So here I am after my first week. It is exciting!
