Rose Bowl Drive

Having not been out painting in a while I was a bit apprehensive today. I thought about what I have learned from William, and I proceeded. After about two hours, I heard a crash behind me, realized that I was witnessing a hit and run. I tried to run and take down the license number, but was unable to see it. Kicked myself, because I could have just picked up my new camera, and taken a photo. If there is ever a next time, I will know what to do. Luckily someone else witnessed it as well, and got all the information for the disappointed truck owner. By this time, my shade, light and spirit was lost.

This photo is for Lydia...

Robin, I think this is your best yet. You're amazing! It contains all the detail with just a swoosh. How do you do it? You go girl!

Robin -- sorry to hear about the lousy end of your painting day. But I think the painting turned out well anyway. Very nice!

Terri - it is interesting that you say that. I held my brush in a different manner, and it seemed to know how to paint this.

Nevertheless, you painted a wonderful vision of the scene. Great job!

You are so kind Mary. I doubt everything... I think I just stay within my comfort zone.

Could this BE any better?? No, it could not. This is stupendous. I'm so sorry about the accident, Robin. I understand your frustration and sadness, but you did the best you could at the time. Oh, but what a painting!

What a nice comment Laura. Still on the learning curve, but the comments certainly are encouraging. Thank you.

This painting is beautiful!
Especially done on location I'm really inspired. Where were you? How did you do this on a side road or what? Can you describe it? (I'm serious)

Lydia - I posted a picture on my blog of the site. It is a rode that links the city of Pasadena with the Rose Bowl, Aquatic Center, and Golf Course. I wasn't actually standing in the street as it appears, but on a small bit of concrete near the curb.
