Hi, I found your site from a link on Karen's blog (I try to visit hers every day) and I really enjoyed seeing your work and reading your inspiring words. I'm looking forward to spending more time on your site, and will be looking to see what you're doing regularly. Your figure drawings are so beautiful and really show a unique voice (if that's the right word). I really like your plein air paintings too--are you painting in oil?
These are colored pencil? Lovely! The tree forms even thought they are close up have a definite push pull to the trunks!
Hi Jana - Thanks for commenting. Karen is much more dedicated to posting daily. Yes my plein air is in oil. Something that I have just learned.
Lindsay - Yes these are colored pencil. Katherine says perhaps more layering but I just don't like the paper much. Being handmade it should be good for something though. I will keep working with it.
Robin I particularly like the bottom one - wonderful verticals with the diagonal of the street - this would abstract beautifully.
Interesting thought Anita. I will look at it differently today. This is the view from my front porch. The palms are so incredibly tall.
My favorite one is the Tree. I lole the light you added on the trunk :)
These are gorgeous sketches, Robin. Your sense of color is so good.
Terri - This is a tree in my front yard, and I also love the light that plays daily on its trunk. Thanks for stopping by my friend.
Mary - thank you I wish I understood it all better. Most of the time I am just winging it.
