Studies

1. A first - still life done in color class with a palette knife. A lesson to take time to set up your composition. This is too large to scan, but I have cropped it to give the best view possible.

2. I am told this was a difficult study but I am pleased with the results. Done in my color class taught by Mary Winterfield
at Art Center College of Design. A lesson in shadows.

3 & 4. Outdoor studies for my final project in color class.
An advanced block study.

I know that colour was the topic of your workshop so making a comment about colour is superfluous BUT I love the colour in these studies.

Peter- Thank you. As fundamental as this study is I plan on the continuation of similar work. It brings clarity, and simplicity which is my goal.

William - I am honored you stopped by. TY

Robyn - Light is such a fascinating science. I am blessed to be able to see the color in my world.

Terri - Please don't choose, I have learned so much from each.

Hi Robin, I love your newest work, I hope your class is offering you a restbit from your traumatic days lately. How is everyone doing these days? I love starting new mediums, keep up the good work.

Beautiful, Robin! I would imagine the palette knife is very difficult to paint with, but these studies are really lovely.
