Precision

I am teaching a class on WetCanvas! about perspective. It has created an internal dialog with myself as to the importance of this subject. I realize how important precision is, and how you can take precision down a notch, and create very clean precise sketches, but you can never turn it the other way. Without the discipline of learning the basics, it will always show. Yes, one can copy pretty pictures, but an artist is never free until they are able to look at life, and create what God and man have provided, in a two dimensional format.
Now what was my perspective teachers name? Mr. Brewer
I think he deserves a Thank You.

Brewer! Me, too! But far too little of it 'stuck' with me (sigh!). These are great renderings - far more disciplined and engaging than anything I'd done. Amazing the work that we did. I ought to get my stuff out and document the things that were pretty decent achievements ...

sigh.
