ER - 8 hours!

It isn't as glamourous as they make it out to be in Hollywood.
I insisted that Jerry get his head scanned, but now I am told by Rosie (who is a nurse), that it would be a good idea to get a MRI done. He is dizzy when he lays down, is getting headaches, and downright feels miserable. He has a fracture, and a chip missing in his left arm. Not the dominant hand, but still a necessity to function well.
Jerry, did point out that 21 year prior, I was in the hospital. Yesterday was David's 21st B-Day and I haven't had a moment to even find him long enough to give him a hug. I can practically remember every step of the way, a year ago.
Focus on today and healing. We were taken care of, but really...
...8 hrs?
Rebecca in to Urgent-care on Thursday, Mom to ER on Thursday night, Jerry on Sunday and again on Tuesday. Is this a record? Well... I am done. No more surprises for a while.
This is how I spent the time:

Hi there, so sorry to hear about Jerry, you just can't leave him alone anymore! I love the pictures you posted about the Huntington too. But these hospital sketches are great, who would of ever know there was a drawing opportunity in EVERY situation! How did he feel about you sketching him in his gown in pain! LOL Randy would of not been a happy camper! Get well soon, Jerry.

The sketches are wonderful, but I am so sorry about all the family medical problems. Hope everything begins to straighten itself out soon.

Oh, these waiting sketches are SO COOL. You probably didn't think of this experience as providing a luxury of time, but your drawings really show that it was.

... and you worry that you spent more time talking than sketching at the Huntington? Seems like there's plenty to worry about and share! Drawing is good, but talking's okay, too.
Hope everyone is on the mend!

I think you did a great job. What can an artist do but deal with this situation like everyone else ... in their own way. Hugs!

Wonderful sketches! This is a good reason why all artists should always carry their sketchbooks with them, isn't it! Hope everything gets better soon.
